Medical Terminology Certification

The objective of this program is designed to prepare students for positions as in critical care settings. Upon completion of this program the student should be able to:

Medical terms and jargon is often complicated and can be confusing.  PTHC Medical Terminology course helps in preparation for medicine-related careers by increasing familiarity with medical terminology.  This course also provides the opportunity to learn basic rules for analyzing unknown words and to gain familiarity with classic word roots.  Additionally, this course reviews basic anatomy, grammar, and medical procedures.
Course Objective: By the end of this course, the learner will be able to

Admission Requirements for Medical Terminology Certification: Interest in working in the medical field.. Must meet the PTHC minimum admission requirements as set forth in PTHC admission policies.

Program Completion Requirements: A minimum of 9 hours theory. Must get a minimum average score of 80% in theory on written test.
There is no California state examination for Medical Terminology Certification (MTC).
Certification is issued by PTHC.
